This is a a North African Snaphaunce Musket.  We believe the gun is of Moroccan origin and was made circa 19th century.  The musket has a hardwood full stock that is decorated with silver bands each struck with unique markings.  The musket also has a fish-tale’ butt lined with a base medal.  We are currently having an expert take a look at this piece to find out more information in order to sell.  Any questions call us at 203-748-2274.
